Our aim is to ensure that any Solid Fuel burnt in your home or workplace is done so safely and efficiently. Regular cleaning of your chimney or flue and maintenance of the appliance is necessary to achieve that. Stuart brings a reliable and friendly chimney sweeping service backed up with the latest industry training and equipment to eliminate dust and mess. We operate from a dedicated Solid Fuel Centre providing extensive knowledge of fuels, appliances, and contacts.
The objective of the sweep is to keep your chimney and home safe. It is important to get your chimney swept at least once a year to prevent blockage and build ups of soot, creosote and other debris like birds’ nest and cobwebs to allow the safe passage of dangerous gases to exit through your chimney. A regularly swept chimney will help to eliminate the very real and serious issue of a chimney fire which can be devastating to your personal safety and your home.
Your chimney will be swept using a triple HEPA dust extraction vacuum, all areas around stove or open fire will be covered with dust sheets to protect your home. A fire safety/ smoke test will be conducted; your C02 alarm inspected; and a visual check of your appliance and chimney stack will be carried out.
On completion of your sweep, a sweeping certificate will be completed and emailed to you soon after. The paper copy will be held on file if you may ever require it. The sweep certificate may be required for your house insurance.
