Purple charcoal now comes in a blue bag!  Same high quality South African Wattle wood, just a different coloured bag.  Yes, we know, confusing, but that's how it comes from the supplier.

Large 12kg bag of premium quality charcoal produced from South African Wattle wood. Larger lumps, burn hotter and longer than other charcoals.  Very clean well graded with more larger regular sized pieces.  Popular with restaurants, tandoor ovens and hog roasters as dust is reduced in a kitchen area and less likely to spark than other charcoals

Black wattle is an invasive tree so readily cut down, making it an eco friendly firewood, very similar to eucalyptus. Thick pieces of wattle are great for hotter and longer fires, especially for a braai and the more thin pieces can be used to make a big flame, for something like a bonfire. Black wattle is also excellent wood for pizza ovens, potjies and fireplaces.
