Firewood/ Logs for Heating
Free delivery with £50 spend; 8% volume discount on £130 spend, any products.
Logs are sold by volume not weight due to moisture content. Birch (Homefire) is a quicker burning log used to get your stove up to heat. Ash and Oak are denser and will last longer. Birch costs around 40p per litre; Oak around 43p per litre; and Ash around 53p per litre, about 32% more expensive than Birch. ABOC recommend a mix, Birch to get your fire started, then Oak or Ash to reduce the reloading times and enjoy a more aesthetic flickering flame.
Beech is also sold in the form of a compressed sawdust log, primarily for cooking as they are food safe and expand to produce an intense heat, they can also be used in stoves. Heat logs, Woodcoal, Peat (to be discontinued in 2024), and Cosilogs (waxed heat log) complete the alternative products that can be used on wood burners. ABOC operate a no quibble refund or replacement policy on any of our products that you are not happy with.
ABOC also offer a chimney sweeping service. Save £10 by booking your sweep in the Summer months (April to July), priced from £55.
